Melt the butter with the sugar and vanilla
Beat well
Add the egg
Beat until smooth
Gradually add the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt
Mix well
Add the chopped nuts and mix
Divide the dough in half
Melt the chocolate and add it to one half of the dough
Leave 1/2 teaspoon of space between each cookie
Drop 1/2 teaspoon of the chocolate dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving a 5cm gap between each cookie
Lay out 1/2 teaspoon of the plain dough beside the chocolate dough
Gently press down on one nut in the middle of the two doughs
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for 15 minutes
Remove from the oven and let cool
Yield: 80 biscuits.
