    Combine 1/4 cup of water with 1/2 cup of popcorn flour in a 3-liter pot. Cover the pot, but leave a small opening. Stir constantly over medium heat until all the popcorn is popped. Mix in 1/2 cup of light corn syrup, 1/2 cup of butter, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Tint with red or green food coloring. If desired, add flavorings like paprika. Add to the popcorn and stir over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes or until the popcorn is completely coated. Shape into balls about 4 cm in diameter. Wrap in butter paper and cellophane. This recipe yields 16 balls.
