Milk
1 tablet of active dry yeast for bread making
2 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 cup (8 oz) of whole milk
3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon of salt
2 large eggs
2 cups (16 oz) of all-purpose flour
Coffee Syrup
8 tablespoons of strong brewed coffee
4 cups (32 oz) of water
2 cups (16 oz) of sugar
1/2 cup (4 oz) of your preferred liquor
Milk
1 tablet of active dry yeast for bread making

1/2 cup (8 oz) of whole milk

2 cups (16 oz) of all-purpose flour
Coffee Syrup
8 tablespoons of strong brewed coffee
4 cups (32 oz) of water
2 cups (16 oz) of sugar
1/2 cup (4 oz) of your preferred liquor
Make the syrup: Brew 4 cups of strong coffee with 4 cups of water and transfer it to a saucepan
Add the sugar and stir until dissolved completely
Bring to a boil over low heat and let simmer until thickened
Remove from heat and add your preferred liquor. Reserve
Make the dough: Dissolve active dry yeast in 2 tablespoons of warm water
Add milk, stirring with a wooden spoon
Add melted butter, salt, eggs, one at a time, and continue to stir until smooth
Gradually add all-purpose flour, stirring until just combined
Pour into a greased pan and cover with plastic wrap
Let rest for 1 hour approximately
Bake in a preheated oven
Remove from oven and brush with half of the syrup
Let cool, then unmold and serve with additional syrup, if desired
