1/2 cup toasted and mashed sweet potatoes

Preheat the oven to medium temperature and grease the cake mold with butter
In a mixer, beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks
In another mixing bowl, beat the butter with sugar until it forms a light-colored cream
Add the yolks one at a time, beating continuously
Gradually add the flour, sweet potatoes, and baking powder, without stopping to beat
Turn off the mixer, add the egg whites, and mix delicately
Pour the batter into the cake mold and bake for 45 minutes or until inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake results in it being dry
Remove from the mold and let cool
Dust with sugar over the cake, decorate with chopped walnuts, and serve.
