Preheat the oven to medium temperature
Beat the sugar and butter in a mixer until smooth
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition

Combine flour and yeast; mix well with a spoon
Add ginger, banana, pecans, and cinnamon; mix well and pour into a prepared bundt pan
Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Remove from oven
Decoration
When cooled, sift powdered sugar over the cake
Top with candied orange peel
