Process the pecans in a food processor or blender
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form
Then, add the sugar and chopped pecans
Mix well
Combine the all-purpose flour and cake flour
Add to the egg mixture and mix until just combined
Fold in the beaten egg yolks until no white streaks remain
Pour into two 9-inch round cake pans that have been greased and floured
Bake in a moderate oven, preheated, for about 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Let cool in the pans for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
