Directions

Beat the butter or margarine with the sugar in a bowl

Add the eggs and beat well

Add the vanilla extract and mashed banana and beat again

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda

Add to the banana mixture and beat until combined

Add the chocolate and mix

Pour into an ungreased 26x12 cm loaf pan

Bake in a preheated moderate oven (170°C) for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
