Grease and lightly dust a cake pan with a 20 cm diameter
Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt
In a bowl, beat the butter at medium speed for 30 seconds
Add the sugar and vanilla extract and beat until smooth and creamy
Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, beating only to mix, at low speed
Wash the blender thoroughly
Beat the eggs in snow
Carefully add to the previous mixture
Place in the cake pan
Bake in a moderate oven for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Let cool for 10 minutes
Remove from pan and let cool completely
Variation: Place half of the dough in the cake pan
Sprinkle with 1/3 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Add remaining dough and sprinkle with another 1/3 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
