Two cups of cooked chicken, cut into pieces
2 cups of cooked carrots, chopped
One cup of cooked peas
One tablespoon of chopped green pepper
One cup of breadcrumbs
1/2 cup of milk
One tablespoon of onion juice
One tablespoon of lemon juice
One teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of chopped celery root
Two egg yolks, beaten
A pinch of black pepper
Two cups of cooked chicken, cut into pieces

Process the chicken, carrots, and peas in a meat grinder
Add the remaining ingredients and place them in an unbuttered loaf pan or ring mold
Bake in a moderate oven for about 40 minutes until firm
Serve with cream or mushroom sauce

Chicken Cake and Rice:
Omit the carrot and lemon juice
Use two cups of whole peas and 1 1/2 cups of cooked chicken, cut into pieces instead of the above measurements
Use 2 cups of cooked rice instead of breadcrumbs
