Beat the egg whites until stiff and reserve
Beat the butter, sugar, eggs, and grated orange peel to obtain a smooth and homogeneous mixture
Add the flour gradually, alternating with milk and orange juice
When well mixed, add the egg whites and baking powder, mixing lightly without beating
Bake in a medium oven for 40 minutes in a greased and floured pan
Glaze
Soak the sugar slowly with orange juice until thick but easy to spread
Place the glaze over the warm cake.
