1 cup of well-packed dark brown sugar in the cup

2 cups of all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
2 and 1/2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

1 cup of common sugar
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of rice flakes
1 cup of well-packed dark brown sugar in the cup

Mix the dark brown sugar, water, and butter or margarine in a pot
Let it boil over
Let it cool down
Sift together the flour, yeast, and cinnamon
Beat the 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine with common sugar
Add the sifted ingredients alternately with milk, mixing well
Pour into a rectangular baking dish with dimensions of 22 cm in diameter and pour the mixture of dark brown sugar on top
Dust with rice flakes
Bake in a moderate oven preheated to 170°C for about 45 minutes
Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired
