3/4 cup melted butter (150 g)
5 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour (180 g)
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (45 g)

Preheat the oven to 350°F
Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line it with parchment paper. Reserve
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler over hot water, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes
Add the heavy cream and mix well
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate
Melt the chocolate and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth
Let it cool to room temperature
In a stand mixer, beat the eggs and all-purpose flour at medium speed for about 10 minutes, until light and fluffy
Add the melted chocolate mixture and mix until well combined
Pour into the prepared pan
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Let it cool to room temperature
Remove from the pan and spread with the topping
