1 cup of cornmeal

Preheat the oven to medium temperature
Pour the milk, cornmeal, and hydrogenated vegetable shortening into a pan
Place the pan over medium heat and let it simmer
Add the cornmeal and stir until it's no longer sticking to the bottom of the pan
Remove from heat and let cool

Break an egg at a time and mix with a wooden spoon until you get a uniform dough
Take out small portions (about two spoons) and place them in a bowl with cornmeal, mixing until balls form
Place in a greased baking dish and bake for 40 minutes.
