Dough
2 cups of wheat flour
1 tablespoon of active dry yeast
1 egg
1/4 cup of butter
1 pinch of salt

1 cup of tomato sauce
4 cups of chopped spinach
Salt, black pepper, and olive oil to taste

Dough: Mix flour and yeast
Add butter and mix until a coarse crumb forms
Add salt and nutmeg, mix well, and incorporate the egg
Knead until a smooth dough forms
If too dry, add cold water by the spoonful to achieve a smooth dough
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into shapes with a cookie cutter
Arrange the shapes in a baking dish and bake in a medium oven for 10 minutes
Remove from the oven and let cool
Filling: Sauté chopped spinach with olive oil, salt, and black pepper for 1 minute
Let cool
Spread a little tomato sauce on each dough shape, then top with a spoonful of spinach
Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish with green salads.
