8 medium onions
1 cube of beef broth
1 cup of water
1 can of peas
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of water
1 large lettuce leaf
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
1 tablespoon of milk
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips

Peel the onions
Place them in a medium skillet
Add the cube of beef broth and water
Mash the cube using a spoon
Let it simmer for 30 minutes or less, until the onion is tender but still retains its shape
While the onions are cooking, mix the peas with paprika, salt, and water in a small pan
Cover with the lettuce leaf
Cook for 10 minutes
Remove the lettuce leaf
Drain the peas well
Add the butter or margarine and milk
Blend in a blender or pass through a sieve
Remove the onions from the broth
Cut off the top and remove the core
Stuff the onions with the pea mixture and garnish with the red bell pepper strips
Serve 8 ways.
