Whisk 3/4 cup of confectioner's sugar with the butter or margarine, until a soft mixture forms
Add the vanilla extract and melted chocolate, whisking well to combine
Separately, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and add the remaining confectioner's sugar gradually, until desired consistency is reached
Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture, stirring carefully.
