Heat the milk, sugar, and butter over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens to a thread-like consistency
Remove from heat and let cool down
Combine with beaten eggs and shredded coconut
Heat over low heat again, stirring continuously and scraping the sides and bottom of the pan to prevent the mixture from lumping
Cook until it reaches a thick enough consistency to hold its shape
Let cool down completely.
