1 cinnamon stick

0.5 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

Cut the pineapples in half and remove the pulp
Place them in a saucepan and add 6 cups (scant) of water
Bring to a boil until the pulps break down. Reserve
Mix the remaining water with the sugar and bring to a boil until it forms a thin syrup
Add the cinnamon, sweet herbs, and ground cinnamon
Simmer until the syrup becomes thick
Add the pineapple pulp and simmer for an additional 5 minutes
Remove from heat and let cool.
