'Combine the turnip slices with 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt, mix well, and let them sit for 30 minutes.'
'Squeeze out all the liquid from the turnips.'
'Add 1/4 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, and let it sit for another 30 minutes.'
'Season the pork ribs with soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of salt, and grated ginger, and let them sit for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.'
'Dissolve 2 tablespoons of cornstarch in the soy sauce mixture to form a paste, and brush it on the pork ribs.'
'Fry the pork ribs in hot oil until golden brown, some at a time, and drain.'
'Mix the remaining cornstarch with 3/4 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 1/2 cups of water, and 1 cup of chicken broth.'
'Combine this mixture with the pork ribs in a pan, and simmer for about 45 minutes or until the meat is tender.'
'If needed, add the remaining water.'
'About 5 minutes before removing from heat, add the 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.'
