Mix the tomatoes, onion, salt, black pepper, and cheddar cheese
Cook for 15 minutes
Cool
Melts the butter or margarine, then adds the flour and mixes well
Adds the milk gradually, stirring constantly
Gradually adds the tomato mixture to the milk mixture, stirring always
Serves immediately
Yield: 6 servings
If desired, adds 1 cup grated cheddar cheese.
