1 Place the banana peels in a saucepan with 1/2 cup of water
Cook until the peels are soft
Remove from heat and reserve separately the peels and water
Transfer the peels to a blender and blend until smooth
Add as needed some of the reserved water
2 Remove from blender and pass through a coarse-mesh sieve
Add the sugar, flour, cloves, and cook over low heat while constantly stirring until the mixture comes away from the sides of the saucepan
Remove from heat and add the butter
Stir and let cool
Shape the fritters and coat in granulated sugar.
