Place the banana peels in a saucepan and add 1/2 cup of water
Cook until the peels are soft, then remove from heat and let cool

Transfer the peels to a blender and blend until smooth
Add some of the reserved water if needed

Remove from blender and pass through a coarse sieve
Add the confectioner's sugar, flour, and cloves
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture forms a ball that separates from the sides of the saucepan

Remove from heat and add the butter
Stir and let cool
Shape into fudge and roll in confectioner's sugar.
