2 cups whipped cream, beaten in chantilly fashion

Beat the whites until almost stiff
Add the sugar gradually and beat until firm
Beat the yolks until thick; add the milk and mix well; add the brandy and rum, mixing again
Beat the heavy cream in a firm chantilly and combine with the yolk mixture
Finally, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites
Keep refrigerated until serving time
Serve chilled, dusting with ground nutmeg, if desired
Yields 3 liters.
