Preheat the oven to 180°C
In a bowl, combine the yeast and sugar
Mix until the yeast dissolves
Add the salt, butter, milk, and egg, and mix well
Gradually add the flour, working the dough until it is homogeneous and smooth
Wrap the sausages and set aside
Roll out the dough to 10cm x 2cm strips
Wrap each sausage piece in a strip of dough
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet with some beaten egg for brushing
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
