1/4 cup of olive oil (60 ml)
1 large onion, finely chopped (150 g)
5 cloves of garlic, pressed
1 kg beef cut into cubes
2 cups of black beans or mulatinho (400 g)
1 portuguese-style sausage, sliced (200 g)
1 liter of water
1 tablespoon of salt or to taste

In a large pressure cooker, combine the olive oil, onion, and garlic
Bring to high heat and sauté until golden brown
Add the beef, beans, sausage, water, and salt
Cover the pressure cooker and cook until steam starts to release
Reduce heat and cook for an additional 45 minutes or until the beans and beef are tender
Check the water level halfway through cooking and add more if necessary
Turn off the heat, let the pressure dissipate naturally, and remove the lid
Serve immediately
If desired, store in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to two days and reheat when serving
