1 kg of beef, cut into cubes
1/3 cup of wheat flour
1/4 cup of olive oil
salt and black pepper to taste
250 g of onion, cut into rings
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper, seeded, cut in half lengthwise and sliced
1 1/4 cups of red wine
1 l/4 cup of beef broth
1 kg of beef, cut into cubes

Place the beef cubes in a plastic bag containing wheat flour and shake well to coat them
Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the beef quickly until it browns
Add all the other ingredients, including any remaining wheat flour from the bag
Let it simmer, covered, for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the beef is tender
Add hot water, stirring occasionally
To freeze: place in a sturdy container, let cool, cover, seal hermetically and store in the freezer
To serve: remove from the freezer and thaw overnight in the refrigerator; place in a pan and reheat over low heat until warm
Serve 6 portions.
