1/2 kg of okra

1 onion, sliced into rings
salt and black pepper to taste

Wash the okra and dry it well
Remove the two ends and cut into 1 cm slices
Set aside
In a pan, fry the onion in olive oil for about 3 minutes
Add the okra and season with salt and pepper
Reduce heat, cover the pan and cook until the okra is tender
Add a minimal amount of water if necessary to prevent it from drying out too much
Serve as an accompaniment to dried meat
