Beat the egg whites until firm
Add the sugar gradually, beating constantly to obtain a stiff meringue
Place in two equal, round, well-greased molds and bake for 10 minutes before opening the oven door
Put the molds in the oven with a box of matches on the door
When the meringues are baked, unite them with a cream made from the following ingredients: combine all the ingredients and stir until it reaches boiling point
Remove from heat and add butter
Refrigerate
Once everything is well chilled, cover with whipped cream and topped with well-drained fruit salad
