Beat the egg whites until stiff, then gradually add the sugar, beating constantly to achieve a firm meringue
Place in two identical round tin molds that have been well buttered and put them in the oven
The oven should be preheated for 10 minutes before baking
When placing the molds in the oven, leave it slightly open with a box of matches on the door
