3 tablespoons of butter or margarine
4 medium onions, sliced into thin rings
1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups of beef broth
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 tablespoons of vinegar
8 thin slices of roasted or boiled beef

Preheat the oven to low temperature (150°F)
Melt the butter or margarine in a frying pan, add the onion and cook over low heat until golden brown
Sprinkle with flour and cook, stirring well, for about 2 minutes
Add the broth and let it simmer, stirring constantly
Season to taste and add the vinegar
Cook for 15 minutes
Arrange the beef slices in a baking dish and cover with the gravy
Place in the oven, just enough to warm the beef for 20-25 minutes
Serve hot.
