1 kg of black beans
6 cups of water
2 tablespoons of salt
1/2 cup of cooked pork, cut into cubes
1 large onion, cut into cubes
1 green pepper, diced
250g of tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon of oregano
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of olive oil
to taste
1 kg of black beans

Soak the black beans and let them rehydrate in 6 cups of water for at least one day
Cook the black beans in the same water
While that's cooking, fry the cooked pork in olive oil over medium heat until browned (about 10 minutes)
Add the onion and green pepper to the pan
Fry until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally
Combine the tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, and black beans, and stir well
Cook for an additional 40-50 minutes or until the black beans are tender and the sauce is thickened
Serve with rice
