In a skillet, place the sugar and heat until it caramelizes
Carefully pour in half the cold water without spilling, then stir to combine with the sugar
Melt all the sugar by stirring until it dissolves completely
Cook the bananas in the mixture
Remove the fruits and reserve them for later use
Add the remaining cold water to the skillet and simmer until slightly thickened
Remove from heat and add sweetener, mixing until the flakes turn a caramel color
Place the bananas on a plate, pour the caramelized cereal over them, and serve with whipped cream.
