In a skillet, melt the butter or margarine and the cheeses over low heat
Let the bread soak in the warm cream
Add the cheese mixture and stir very well
Remove the skillet from the heat and add the egg yolks
Gently fold in the beaten egg whites
Pour this mixture into 6 individual ramekins and bake for about 20 minutes at a low temperature (220°F), or until they are puffed and golden brown
Serve in six portions.
