Whisk half the milk with the same amount of corn and set aside
Melt the butter
Add the flour dissolved in the remaining milk, then whisk until thickened
Add the remaining corn and season with salt and nutmeg to taste
In a baking dish, make a layer with the corn mixture, chicken, and cover with the same layer of corn
Sprinkle with cheese and bake.
