15 sprigs of horsetail
1 1/2 kg of chicken pieces (thighs, legs, breasts, approximately 10 pieces)
1 1/2 tablespoons of butter or margarine at room temperature
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup of orange juice
1/2 cup of chicken broth
2 tablespoons of chopped horsetail
1 tablespoon of grated orange peel
horsetail sprigs and orange slices for garnish
15 sprigs of horsetail

2 tablespoons of chopped horsetail
1 tablespoon of grated orange peel
horsetail sprigs and orange slices for garnish
Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper
Make a cut in each piece and insert a horsetail sprig
Close with skewers or toothpicks
Rub the chicken pieces with butter or margarine at room temperature
Place in a moderate oven (170°C) and bake, moistening with the liquid from the baking dish several times
Remove the chicken pieces from the baking dish
Put the liquid into a saucepan and add orange juice and chicken broth
Scrape the baking dish and add the scrapings to the saucepan
Let it simmer, cook until slightly reduced
Add chopped horsetail and grated orange peel
Place the chicken pieces in a serving dish and garnish with horsetail and orange slices
Serve the sauce separately
