First prepare the pumpkin: peel it completely
cut it into pieces and cook it in seasoned water with salt
Remove it and let it rest over a strainer to drain all the liquid
Put it in a pan and bring it to medium heat
Cook, stirring constantly, until all the liquid evaporates
Add soybean oil and sugar and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring always
To finish, add honey and cinnamon and season to taste with salt and black pepper
Reserve, covering well, to prevent a crust from forming
For the chicken pieces: sprinkle them with salt and black pepper
Put them in a pan with butter, soybean oil, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, onion, and a little salt
Let it simmer in medium heat for 10 minutes
Flip the chicken pieces to coat them evenly with the sauce
Add 2 cups of water
Lower the heat, cover, and let it cook slowly
When the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan and let the sauce reduce
At serving time, warm the chicken in the sauce
Warm the pumpkin mass
Arrange the sauce on a platter
Place the chicken pieces on top
Cover with the pumpkin mass
Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds
Place prunes and almonds intermingled between the chicken pieces
