Mix the fruit with water and bring to a low boil until it fers
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into bowls and measure out the total liquid obtained
For example, if you obtain 3 cups (chá) of liquid, add half the quantity of sugar, that is, 1 and 1/2 cups (chá) of sugar
Mix well and bring to a high boil
Cook until it reaches the thick, syrupy consistency
Pack into sterilized jars and seal.
