2 kg of jaboticaba
1/2 cup of water
2 kg of sugar
2 kg of jaboticaba
1/2 cup of water
2 kg of sugar
Lave and rinse the jaboticaba
Remove the seeds
Mix the jaboticaba with water and bring to a boil
Cook, pressing the jaboticaba to open it, until the pips come loose
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing well
Discard the skins and pips
For each cup of fruit, add 1 cup of sugar
Heat over low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes
Pour into warm sterilized glasses and seal tightly.
