Ingredients: 3 egg whites, not beaten; 2 1/4 tablespoons of cornstarch; 1/8 teaspoon of salt; 1/2 cup of water; 1 tablespoon of Karo syrup; 2 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla

Directions

Combine the egg whites, cornstarch, salt, water, Karo syrup, and vanilla

Beat for 1 minute

Place in a warm water bath and beat for an additional 7 minutes or until stiff peaks form

As you beat, scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl occasionally

Remove from the warm water bath and place in a larger bowl

Beat until it reaches the consistency to spread
