Place a saucepan with the egg whites and sugar over medium heat, in a water bath
Whisk constantly until the sugar has dissolved
Remove from heat and beat with an electric mixer until it has doubled in volume

Preheat the oven to medium temperature
With a spatula, apply a thin layer of glaze to the entire cake

Lower the oven temperature and place the cake in the oven for 10 minutes or until the glaze has dried
Let it cool, then add another layer of glaze and smooth with a spatula

Use a fork to create indentations on top of the cake and all around it
If desired, create circular indentations on top and vertical ones on the sides

Using a piping bag, create small flowers along the edge of the cake and its base, near the plate
Then decorate the center of the cake with sweet flowers (available at specialty stores selling party supplies).
