1/2 cup of milk
2 1/2 tablespoons of wheat flour
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 cup of powdered sugar, confectioner's (or sifted powdered sugar)
1 small teaspoon of vanilla

1 cup of powdered sugar, confectioner's (or sifted powdered sugar)

Warm the milk over low heat (or in a double boiler) with the wheat flour, whisk constantly until thickened and well heated
Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine, vanilla, and confectioner's sugar
Whisk well and let cool
If too runny, add more powdered sugar
If too firm, add a little milk
