6 red raspberries, hulled and sliced
1 1/2 cups of water
5 tablespoons (sopa) of appropriate cooking oil for frying
1 envelope of unflavored red gelatin

Cut the raspberries into pieces and place them in a pot with the water
Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 30 minutes
Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly
Blend the fruit and cooking liquid in a blender
Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds
Soak the gelatin in cold water for 6 tablespoons of water, reserving
Return the raspberry mixture to the pot, adding the oil
Bring to a boil again
Remove from heat and combine with the gelatin, stirring well
Pour into a refrigerator and let it chill until firm.
