Cut the hare into pieces and brown it in butter or margarine in a deep pan, add the bacon cut into small pieces and the whole onions
When the mixture is golden, sprinkle with all-purpose flour and let cook for a few more minutes, adding the minced garlic
Add the red wine and season with salt and pepper, letting it simmer covered for about 45 minutes if the hare is tender, or an hour
About 20 minutes before finishing cooking, add the potatoes cut into cubes
