Place the smoked cod in milk, in a covered bowl
Let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours
Arrange the potatoes and onions in a large serving dish, and spread the butter on top
Microwave on high for 13 minutes. Reserve
Mix the milk with flour and salt
Drain the cod and arrange it over the potatoes
Cover with the milk mixture
Microwave on high for 10 minutes, stirring once halfway through
Check if cooked by piercing a piece of fish with a fork; it should easily break apart
Serve immediately
