Mix all the ingredients except for the fat and form 8 large patties. Fry the fat in a pan and cook the patties on both sides. Serve with the following sauce over round buns:
'1/2 cup ketchup'
'1/2 cup beer'
'2 tablespoons vinegar'
'2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce'
'1 tablespoon English seasoning'
'1 teaspoon salt'
'1 pinch black pepper'
Drizzle the sauce over the hamburgers and let them cook slowly for 10 minutes. Spread butter on one half of the bun and toast lightly. Place the hamburger on the bun and cover with more sauce.
