1 package of lasagna noodles
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 cups of diced tomatoes
12 oz of sausage, casings removed, cut into small pieces
3 cups of tomato sauce
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat
Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent
Then add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute
Add the diced tomatoes, sausage, and tomato sauce
Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes or until the flavors have melded together
Let the sauce cool slightly and then blend it in a blender or with an immersion blender to create a chunky texture
In a separate dish, build layers of lasagna noodles, sauce, and shredded mozzarella cheese
Repeat this process until all ingredients are used
Top the final layer with grated Parmesan cheese and place in a preheated oven at 375°F for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown
Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
