300g lentils
4 tablespoons olive oil
3 large onions, diced
3 large tomatoes, peeled and seeded, diced
1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
1 cup dry red wine
1 cup light cream
1 teaspoon ground cumin

Bring water with salt to a boil in a pot
Add the lentils
Let it simmer for 40 minutes, or until tender
Turn off the heat and reserve
In another pan, sauté the onions in oil
Add the tomatoes and cook for an additional 3 minutes
Then add the red wine and curry powder, stirring well
Let it simmer for 15 minutes over low heat
Drain the lentils and combine them with other ingredients
Stir in cream and cumin, then season with salt if needed
Cover and let it simmer for an additional minute or two
Adjust seasoning with more salt if necessary, add lemon juice, stirring well, and serve
