Remove the cores from the pears with a corer
Peel them and brush the outside with lemon juice
Cut the pears into thin slices, horizontally
In a baking dish, arrange the pear slices in the shape of the whole fruit
Fill each pear with a little bit of sugar, butter, and rum
Sprinkle with remaining brown sugar and butter
Put it in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, basting the pears with the pan juices
Insert cinnamon sticks into the cavity of each pear and bake for another 10 minutes, basting with the pan juices or until the pear is golden and tender
Remove from the oven and transfer to individual plates
Glaze with the pan juices and decorate with hortelã leaves.
