In a pan, melt the butter or margarine with the onion until it's soft, stirring occasionally
Add the flour, salt, and black pepper and stir well
Avoid adding the milk too quickly; instead, add it slowly while continuously stirring until thickened and smooth
Add the broccoli and stir until it comes to a boil
Reduce heat and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes
Serve with 500g (1 package) of spaghetti or linguine
Serves 4-6 people.
