1/2 cup dried damascos
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons bourbon or orange juice
1/2 cup dried damascos
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons bourbon or orange juice
Simmer the damascos with one and a half cups of water until they become very tender, then let them cool
Strain the damasco mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or blend it in a liquidizer to desired consistency
Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least an hour
Just before serving, stir in the bourbon or orange juice
Serve with fluffy rice.
